ENJOY HAAGEN-DAZS ICE CREAM ON JULY 22 AND SUPPORT A GREAT CAUSE

A scoop of Häagen-Dazs super-premium ice cream on a warm summer day is an indulgence difficult to top unless that indulgence provides guests an opportunity to support their local communities. On July 22, participating Häagen-Dazs® shops in the Atlanta region, and in Charleston, S.C., are once again giving guests the chance to feel even better about their enjoyment of the brand’s decadent ice cream by donating 100 percent of sales to Bert’s Big Adventure®. Bert’s Big Adventure is a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.

“To again be able to impact children’s lives is incredible,” said Tim West, Franchise Business Manager for The Häagen-Dazs Shoppe Company, Inc. “These kids and their families fight every day, and to be able to help support the opportunity for them to escape that fight and experience the magic of a Disney adventure is something our shop owners and guests have looked forward to supporting these last few years; it’s just an amazing day for all involved.”

Häagen-Dazs shops in the Atlanta region donated 100 percent of sales in 2015, helping children experience the five-day Disney journey. By donating 100 percent of sales again this year, the brand hopes to help send even more children, between ages 5 and 12, on the all-inclusive vacation to Walt Disney World – an experience many of these children and families would not be able to have without the help of the foundation.

“We are thrilled with the partnership we have developed with Häagen-Dazs throughout the past five years. Since 2011, this partnership has helped Bert’s Big Adventure take very deserving children and their families to Walt Disney World. We look forward to many more years of working together, eating a lot more ice cream and making children’s dreams come true,” said Bert Weiss, Bert’s Big Adventure founder and host of The Bert Show.

This year, eight participating shops will donate to support Bert’s Big Adventure. “Putting smiles on so many faces, especially the Bert’s Big Adventure kids and their families, is an amazing feeling and we couldn’t wait to once again participate,” said Mona Patel, a Häagen-Dazs franchisee.

Help Häagen-Dazs shops and Bert’s Big Adventure send children to Walt Disney World by visiting any of the following participating Häagen-Dazs shops on July 22: Lenox Mall, Perimeter Mall, Town Center at Cobb, Mall of Georgia, North Point Mall, Cumberland Mall and Cumberland Festival Shopping Center in Georgia, as well as South Market Street in Charleston, S.C.
